At Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, built and led functional brain imaging program to diagnose and treat patients with TBI. Designed experiments, obtained regulatory approvals, awarded millions in funding, worked with all patients, and briefed government and academic leaders. As a Research Scientist on an NIH-funded study, co-developed non-invasive language mapping protocol for epilepsy patients for more precise evaluation prior to neurosurgery.

Broad knowledge base and skill set including software programming, hardware design and construction, engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and more. Extensive laboratory experience with cell culture, working with stem cells, and genetic engineering techniques such as CRISPR.

Research experience with in vitro models of cardiac development and function at the cellular, tissue, and organ level. Laboratory experience in cell culture, tissue engineering, and microscopy.
Former Core Lab Manager at the Edwards Lifesciences Foundation Cardiovascular Innovation and Research Center (CIRC) at UC Irvine.
Graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering through the Accelerated Master’s Degree Program.
